Public Transit Users Get Tax Rebate!

Hope you Saved Your Receipts!
Canadians who paid for unlimited travel passes on public transit in 2011 can get their travel expenses reimbursed! The tax rebate includes passes purchased for unlimited travel the following:
•local buses;
•streetcars;
•subways;
•commuter trains or buses; or
•local ferries.
You can also claim the cost of:

Shorter duration passes if:
each pass entitles you to unlimited travel for an uninterrupted period of at least 5 days; and you purchased enough of these passes so that you were entitled to unlimited travel for at least 20 days in any 28-day period.

Wish I had seen these tax rebates in 2011. It always seems to be a guessing game knowing which items will receive rebates.
